Tips For Concealer

Concealer has a stronger consistency than foundation and it is used to provide extra coverage for those problem areas. These main areas that you will use concealer will be on blemishes, pimples and on dark circles under the eyes.

1. Different Coloured Concealers:
There's a different coloured concealer for each area your trying to cover starting with peach toned concealer which cancels out blue circles or bruising, green hides red blemishes and yellow-toned concealers correct almost all uneven skin tones.

2.Foundation
Apply concealer AFTER your foundation, I know everyone thinks to apply concealer first but if you apply foundation first you'll find that you don't need to use as much concealer and if you apply the concealer first, you'll remove most of it while applying your foundation.

3. Blemishes:
When covering a blemish it is important the concealer you use is the right colour! If you use a concealer that is to dark or to light it will just make the blemish more noticeable. Choose a concealer in the same colour as your foundation. The best concealer for blemishes, is a thick creamy concealer, with lots of coverage. Anything to liquidy will slip over the skin and will not stick.

4. Tired looking eyes:
Under the eye concealer is your best weapon! It can make the difference between tired looking eyes and truly impacting make up. Under the eye concealer works best if it is slightly lighter than the skin colour. Some people will have blue or purple undertones to there skin just under their eye, a pink/peach tone concealer will work best to cover this

5. Apply Under Eye Concealer:
I know it seems simple but a lot of people don't know the trick to applying under eye concealer, the best way is to apply concealer under the eye is to draw a triangle with the base underneath your eye and the point toward your cheek. Shinning the light right underneath your eye, and drawing focus upward.

6. Your Nose:
A lot of people miss this area but it is very common to have redness or broken veins in the area around your nose, applying concealer here can help create that flawless skin finish. Green concealer will neutralise any redness in this area.

7. Tinted Moisturiser:

A small tip for those days when you don't want to wear a full face of foundation, create a tinted moisturiser by mixing your daily face lotion with a bit of your go to concealer. This will help hydrate the skin while adding a subtle tinted finish.
